08. Why the file’s date and time on site of ‘Sharepoint Online’ and ‘OneDrive’ are different with local copy on the desktop?

Answer:

Since the Office 365 default to use the US Time Zone on site of ‘Sharepoint Online’ and ‘OneDrive’, please advise the user to change the time zone setting in the following steps:

  1. Under ‘OneDrive’ or ‘Sites’, click the ‘Gear’ icon, select the ‘Site settings’
     Site settings
  2. Click the ‘Regional settings’
    Regional settings
  3. Select the ‘UTC+08:00) Beiging, Chongqing, Hong Kong, Urumqi’ in the ‘Time zone’, then click ‘OK’
