10.1 Calendar Settings

10.1.1 Filter Calendar

Select the calendar(s) to display.

10.1.2 Add Calendar

Users can add an external calendar file (with .ics format) to Blackboard Learn Calendar if they prefer use Blackboard Learn’s Calendar to view all events in one place.

Note If there are any new events created to the external calendar, users need to add those events to Blackboard Calendar manually. Any updates on the external calendar after the "Add Calendar" action will NOT synchronise to Blackboard.

10.1.3 Share Calendar

To view all events in one place, Blackboard Learn Calendar (for events appear one year in the past and into the future) can be added to external calendar.

Note If there are any new events created to the Blackboard Calendar, users need to add those events to external calendar manually. Any updates on the Blackboard Calendar after the "Share Calendar" action will NOT synchronise to external calendar.

10.2 Item Type

Select "Schedule" / "Due Dates" to focus on related items.

10.3 View

Select "Day" or "Month" to zoom in on one day’s tasks or plan for the weeks ahead.

10.4 Add Event

1 On the Global Calendar page, select the "Plus Sign" on the top right corner.

2 Choose "Add Event".

3 Input the Event Name

4 Choose which calendar for the event: "My Personal Calendar" / Course calendar / Organisation calendar

5 Set the event start time and end time

Note For "All Day" event, No time to be specified.

6 Repeat Event

  • Repeat "Daily / Weekly / Monthly"
  • Every "1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10" "Day(s) / Week(s) / Month(s)"
  • "End After Occurrences" / "End On Date"

7 Input the Location.

8 Input the Description.

9 Press "Save" Button to confirm.

 


 

10.5 Edit Course Schedule

1 On the Global Calendar page, select the "Plus Sign" on the top right corner.

2 Choose "Edit Schedule".

3 Choose the course / Organisation for adding the schedule

4 Input the Nickname

5 Set the repeated schedule

  • Repeat "Daily / Weekly / Monthly"
  • Every "1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10" "Day(s) / Week(s) / Month(s)"
  • "End After Occurrences" / "End On Date"

6 Input the Location

 


 

10.6 Add Office Hours

1 On the Global Calendar page, select the "Plus Sign" on the top right corner.

2 Choose "Add Office Hours".

3 Choose the "All Courses I Teach and Organisations I Lead" / "A Course" / "An Organisation" for adding the Office Hours.

4 Set the repeated schedule

  • Repeat "Daily / Weekly / Monthly"
  • Every "1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9 / 10" "Day(s) / Week(s) / Month(s)"
  • "End After Occurrences" / "End On Date"
