9.1 Organisation Items

Apart from the teacheing subjects which put under "Courses", other pages will be put under "Organisation".

  • Scheme/Programme Page
  • Programme Advising Team
  • CSP Courses
  • CAT Courses
  • Blackboard Sandbox
  • Unit/Division/Office Pages

9.2 Organisation States

  • Open
Teachers can open a Organisation when they are ready for students to participate.

  • Private
Teachers can make a Organisation private while teachers add or experiment with content, and then open it to students when they are ready. Students see private Organisations in their Organisation lists, but they can't access them.

  • Hide
Teachers can choose to hide a Organisation from their own Organisation List to organize the view. This action will NOT affect the view of other teachers or students in the same Organisation (i.e. students can still access to the Organisation).
  • Note Only teachers have the option to hide Organisations from their own Organisation List. Teachers can hide a Organisation from their own Organisation List if they access to the Organisation occasionally.

Note Activities for the hidden Organisations no longer appears in the global pages.

  • Complete
Teachers can choose to set the Organisation to Complete when the Organisation has ended, but teachers can no longer make changes to it. Students can access the content, but they can't participate in the Organisation any longer. For example, they can't reply to discussions or submit assignments. Teachers can return the Organisation to Open or Private as they want. However, if a Organisation has an end date, and the end date passes, then students can't access the Organisation any longer. So, if teachers complete a Organisation and open it again after the end date, students can't access it.

9.5 Change the Organisation list view (a list or a grid)
