1Activate Teams to Allow Student Access
Updated on 2021-08-02 By referring to the Moodle data about the teaching subjects, ITU will create Teams for Individual/Lecture Group at the beginning of every semester. If there is a new Individual/Lecture Group created on Moodle, the corresponding Teams will be created on the same day. The Teams owners and members will be managed by the School Data Sync such that the Teams owners/members will be added/removed according to the daily changes of subject enrollment records. Note Generally, the Teams created by the School Data Sync will be created one week before the semester commence.
Teams created by the School Data Sync will be available to owners (i.e. teachers). If teachers would like to allow students to view and participant, the Teams must be activated by owners (i.e. teachers). By applying such rule, teachers will have more time to setup, add files, and get organised before granting access to students. Once the Teams created by the School Data Sync is ready for students to access, the owners (i.e. teachers) can "activate" the Teams by the following steps. Note Teams created by users manually (i.e. NOT created by the School Data Sync), the Teams access will be granted to members once they have been added to the Teams (i.e. no need to activate the Teams).
