5Working on Poll in Web version
5.8Moderation Settings

Moderation is only available in free text poll.
  • Enable moderation: You can filter the received responses and show all selected responses on the screen.
  • Disable moderation: All received responses will show on screen without teachers' filtering.
As students can answer what they want in free text poll, you can enable “Automatic profanity filter” function. There are three types of “Automatic profanity filter” in Poll Everywhere.
  • Disable filter. Anything goes! (Default Setting): Show all responses without system filtering.
  • Censor profanity out of responses: Responses include profanity word(s) will be replaced as ***.
  • Block responses with profanity: Once you activated this function all responses included profanity word(s) will be unable to show on the screen. If this function activated but the profanity still showed on the screen, users may need to enable the moderation function to hide that profanity word(s).
Apart from filtering the wording, you can also filter emoji responses with two options.
  • All emoji allowed: Allow to responses by emoji.
  • Block emoji: Disallow emoji responses, the sentence of "Your response can't be blank" will show after responses by emoji.

With Shared moderation, you can send a unique link that allows others to moderate Open-ended, Q&A, and Word cloud responses.

  • Allow presenters on your Team to moderate
  • Disable shared moderation
