Tip 1: Grade Incoming Responses

Poll Everywhere allows teachers to use the grading function to grade the incoming response in Multiple Choice Poll. Teachers can use the Gradebook to generate report with grade.

1. How to Set Up the Grading Function for a Poll1

1 Open your poll and click edit.

2 Click the "Tick" to choose the correct answer(s) then save.

3 The "Toggle Correctness" button will appear after you choose and save the correct answer(s). Make sure the "Toggle Correctness" button keep in grey before you want to show the correct answer(s).


2. How to Show the Correct Answer(s) of the Poll?

1 Once the poll is finished, show the correct answer by clicking "Toggle Correctness" button. The "Toggle Correctness" button will turn to navy after you clicking the button. And the correct answer(s) will be highlighted in green.


3. How to Generate Poll Report with Grade?

1 Please select "Gradebook" when generating report.

Different informations are provided in Gradebook.

  • Name: Student name will be displayed if he/she has login to answer the poll.
  • Rank: The ranking is sorts by correctness and speed across all polls. In case of a tie in correctness, the fastest to respond wins.
  • Grade: Percentage of total correct responses across all polls. Responses to ungraded polls (gray dots) are not counted. If multiple responses per question are allowed, any correct response marks the entire response correct.
  • Response result per poll: Poll Everywhere uses different color to display the poll result.
